Christmas Cooking with Chef Bob at E&O Hotel

I absolutely love Christmas time. I love getting together with family and friends with good food, a glass of something nice, and let the magic take over. Decorating the house with our favourite Christmassy things holly, snowmen, candles and turning the tree into the fantasy Christmas tree of our childhood. I derive great pleasure as I place my favourite decorations, remembering times past and other places we lived, old friends and good times.

Its also party time and Chef Bob had some easy recipes and great tips for us to follow. We started the cooking demo with Home Black pepper Smoked Duck Breast with Orange Tangerine Sauce - Rocket Pine Nut and drizzled Balsamic Dressing, Chef Bob is his jovial manner prepared and presented an amazing dish and all the flavors blended beautiful together. For main course he gave us a alternative choice, Baked Salmon in Filo Pastry, this was very fresh tasting with layer vegetables. Of course we still had the traditional Turkey and Chef Bob demonstrated how to carve. We finished with making all kinds of cookies with Ginger Bread.

Next up was Cocktails with E&O Tom Cruise and our 85 guests got into the spirit of the morning while two Christmas cocktails were made and ready for tasting.

When the napkin folding follows Cocktails there not much hope but most look pretty good. We tried two new designs and was lots of fun.
I as the host gave some tips of my own; create the smells of Christmas with cinnamon sticks, oranges with cloves and it's always good to have some mulled wine brewing, as the smells create a Christmassy atmosphere.

One tip to take the stress out of Christmas and enjoy time with your families is "be prepared". Make lists; buy all non-perishable in advance; prepare as much as you can in advance and make time for you to relax.
