Davina's Sausage Rolls

Ingredients:

25g Butter
1 Onion, chopped
1 Clove of Garlic, crushed
500g Minced Pork
Half of 1 Apple
2 teaspoons Sage
2 slices of bread, processed to crumbs
2 Beaten Eggs - one to be added to mixture and 1 set aside for brushing on pastry before cooking
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Packet Puff Pastry Squares - 5in Sq. (readily available in supermarkets)

Method:

Melt butter in pan.
Cook onion and garlic until onion is tender.
Add Minced Pork and finely chopped apple till cooked.
Add Sage, seasoning and breadcrumbs and mix together.
Finally add the beaten egg and mix.
Leave to cool.

Roll out each Pastry Square to about 8in by 6in.
Place Pork mixture down the centre.
Brush edges with water to seal.
Roll Pastry around the Pork Mixture.
Cut to bite sized pieces and place on Baking Tray lined with Baking Parchment.
Finally brush with beaten egg and cook in a pre-heated oven (150C) until pastry is golden (15-20 minutes).

Serving Suggestions: Serve warm with tomato or chili sauce. Great for drinks party.
