Juices and Smothies

Carrot and Celery Juice

Ingredients: Serves 1
3 carrots - scrapped and chopped
2 stalk celery - washed, remove leaves and cut
2 slices fresh ginger - peeled

Method:
Put all ingredients in juicer and juice. Pur into tall glass and garnish with celery stalk. Drink immediately.

Berries and Red Wine Sorbet

Ingredients: Serves approx. 6 to 8.
450g mixed berries - blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and strawberries
75ml water
75ml red wine
110g castor sugar
Berries to garnish

Method:

Put the mixed berries and water in blender and blend until the mixture is smooth. Then pour into saucepan and stir in the sugar, turn on heat and bring just to a boil and remove from heat. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, and then press mixture through a fine mesh sieve. Discard what remains in sieve; stir the wine through the berry mixture. Pour into a cold bowl and cover, place in freezer for approx 3 hours. Remove from freezer and put into blender again and blend until smooth. Pour into cold bowl, cover and freeze for at least another hour. Ready to serve anytime.
Garnish with berries.

Banana and Payapa Smoothie

Ingredients: serves 1
½ papaya - peeled, seeded and chopped
1 banana - sliced
1 tpsp honey
½ glass of ice cubes

Method:
Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pur into tall glass and garnish with fresh fruit and drink immediately.
